Whether you’re looking to kickstart an apprenticeship as a builder, electrician, plumber and gasfitter, or a painter and plasterer, Trades South Campus is the place to be. It’s full of friendly faces and welcoming tutors, but more than that, we’ll get you work ready through practical, hands-on learning.
Our 800 square metre site is built especially for trades training and features classrooms, workshops and labs, so you can put your theory into practice. You’ll learn everything you need to get started as an apprentice or an entry level worker in the trades.

You will gain essential skills and knowledge of building, construction and allied trades in a supportive hands-on environment, helping you succeed towards employment in the industry.
Certificate in Plumbing, Gasfitting and Drainlaying (Pre-Apprenticeship)
20 weeksOpen to international studentsFree study optionsSecure your future in the construction sector by becoming a plumber, gasfitter or drainlayer with our pre- pre-apprenticeship programme.
Certificate in Carpentry Trade Skills
32 weeksFree study option*Open to international studentsThis programme sets you up to enter the construction industry as an apprentice or entry-level employee. You’ll gain loads of hands-on, practical experience, starting off with small workshop projects and building a prefabricated timber sleepout!
